European odds are most useful for combo betting, as they represent a number with which the stake (or other odds) are multiplied. To convert probability to European odds, use the formula 1 / (percentage/100), or 1 / probability. To convert European odds to probability percentage, use the formula (1/odds) * 100, or simply 1/odds to get probability.
English odds are fractional; the number on the right represents the side we're betting on, and the number on the left represents the side we're betting against. Therefore, odds 2/5 mean that we're looking at a 71% favorite (7 parts total, 5 of it are ours, 5/7=71%) and that we'll win 2 units on a stake of 5 units.
American odds represent how much money you need to stake in order to win $100. So, odds -165 means you're betting on a favorite, and that you'll need to invest $165 in order to get additional $100. Positive American odds represent how much money is earned when investing $100, and if the number is positive, we're betting on an underdog. With odds +250 we're making $250 on a $100 stake, or a total of $350 including the stake.
Hong Kong odds are based on the same principle as European odds. The difference is, Hong Kong odds don't display the return of stake, but only the profit. So, with odds 0.60 you'll win +60% on your stake. Hong Kong odds = European odds - 1.
Indonesian odds are equal to Hong Kong odds when betting on an underdog. When betting on favorites, the odds are negative and represent how many units you need to stake in order to profit one unit. So, the same principle as with American odds.
Malaysian odds are equal to Hong Kong odds when betting on a favorite. When betting on underdogs, the odds are negative and represent how many units you need to stake in order to profit one unite. Odds -0.77 mean you have to invest 0.77 units in order to get a 1.77 return, or to profit one unit. This is equal to Europan odds 2.30.
